During the first Coronavirus lockdown, Marston Holdings re-deployed over 1000 colleagues to support Covid-19 recovery activities and help local communities and vulnerable residents. This had a positive impact across the regions and made a real difference to our local communities in which we live and work. Here are few examples of the activities that took place…
- In Manchester we completed over 7315 food parcel deliveries, which provided 11,952 individual meals for local residents.
- We supported Sefton Council with the reopening of the Household Waste and Recycling Centres at Foul Lane, Southport and Irlam Road, Bootle. Deploying coning and signage support to ensure the sites set up to handle a high volume of vehicles and effective traffic management was in place.
- Donated 20 packs of antibacterial wipes to Birmingham Crisis Centre. The centre is an independent charity with the sole aim to provide security, comfort and counselling to women who have suffered physical and mental abuse.
- Provided ‘thank you treat boxes’ to NHS teams
- Donated 20 antibacterial sprays to Ronald McDonald House Charities UK who are based at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital. The charity aims to ease families burden by providing free ‘home away from home’ accommodation.
