From design, inspection and asset management, to acting as CDM Principal Designer and Technical Approval Authority, our expert team covers all aspects of civil engineering bridges and structures.
Our team is led by Chartered Civil Engineers dedicated to providing the highest quality service for our clients. Our NEC4 certified Project Managers can manage and supervise construction being carried out on Engineering Construction Contracts (ECC). In addition to expert technical advice, we can also fulfil the Technical Approval Authority role.

Design
Our team of highly-skilled engineers have a proven record of delivering design solutions for all stages of civil engineering structures projects. We identify design solutions by applying our understanding of structural behaviour, considering client objectives and practical constrains, and sustainability credentials. We can undertake detailed and complex structural analysis using specialist software to optimise and refine our design proposals and validate the initial concept.
We have a detailed understanding of current design codes including Eurocodes, British Standards, the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, and the Manual of Contract Documents for Highways Works. We incorporate innovative or bespoke solutions to overcome instances where compliance with current standards cannot be met, as often encountered on aging assets. Our knowledge of construction techniques and structural detailing ensures buildability, safety, durability, and integration into the surrounding environment.
Our delivery experience supports our approach to site investigations and information gathering to manage delivery and design risks. In addition to determining detailed site investigation scope requirements, Project Centre has an extensive and diverse supply chain to deliver them. We take a collaborative approach to planning, procuring and executing site investigation works to contribute to achieving project requirements.

Project Centre undertakes inspections across a wide range of structures including bridges, retaining walls, culverts, subways, gantries, masts, and other types of structures.
Our inspections team are experts in site risk management and delivering safe systems of work in environments including rail, confined space, working at height, and working over water. Advance planning and close coordination with stakeholders and vetted access suppliers support efficient delivering prioritising safety, risk management, and quality.

Technical advice and Construction, Design and Management (CDM)
We provide project management services to clients including the delivery of construction contracts on their behalf with our NEC4 certified ECC Project Managers. In addition, we provide technical support to clients and contractors to support construction works and address site queries and issues. We combine our technical and commercial skills to mitigate project risks, maintain quality, and ensure delivery.
With an in-depth understanding of CDM regulations, we execute our duties as Designer and Principal Designer roles, as well as supporting our clients and stakeholders in fulfilling their duties.
We apply a collaborative approach with all stakeholders to manage and mitigate risk throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Centre provides training to clients and contractors on CDM roles and responsibilities on specific projects and its broader application within the industry.
Project Centre’s expert team can act as Technical Approval Authority (TAA), providing general technical, commercial, and procurement support to our clients.
