Marston is proud to announce its support for the British Parking Association’s (BPA) Women in Parking Community—a landmark step reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to diversity, inclusion, and opportunity in the parking and transport sector.
As the UK’s largest employer of women in parking, Marston Holdings is dedicated to cultivating an industry where women are empowered to succeed at every stage of their careers. Through networking, mentorship, and active participation in industry initiatives, Marston works to break down barriers and foster advancement for women, both in operational and leadership roles.
The BPA’s Women in Parking group—now over 500 members strong—is a dynamic network for sharing experiences, developing new skills, and inspiring each other to take on greater responsibilities. The group champions equal opportunities, actively supports women into leadership, and challenges outdated stereotypes, making the sector more innovative, resilient, and successful.
Marston Holdings’ internal initiatives complement this commitment. Flagship programmes such as the Women’s Learning and Development Network provide tailored support for professional growth, while company-wide health and wellbeing initiatives such as flexible working, mental health first aiders, and awareness campaigns help women thrive in a supportive environment. The business has also made women’s health a priority, with specific policies and activities that promote wellbeing at work and remove the stigma around issues like mental health and maternity support.
The company’s women leaders are regularly recognised through industry awards, mentorships, and sector advocacy. From building more progressive family-friendly policies to promoting a pipeline of future female leaders, Marston continues to be at the forefront of progress for women’s equality, health, and career advancement in the parking sector.
“We know that creating a space for women to connect and share experiences not only benefits individual careers—but the entire sector,” said Andrea Jones – MD of a Marston Group company. “By supporting the UK’s biggest Women in Parking Community, we’re continuing to invest in a culture of inclusion, where every woman in our business, and our industry, can contribute and lead with confidence.”
Marston Holdings thanks the BPA and the Women in Parking network for championing change—and looks forward to driving further progress, together.
