The challenge
A national builders merchant had not received payment of £1,500 from one of its customers based in Margate. Invoices had been sent and seemingly ignored.
Our solution
A High Court Writ of control was issued and a Notice of Enforcement was sent to the defendant’s home address. The defendant contacted us and advised that he had been repaying it directly but had missed some instalment arrangements. The defendant was advised that unless the amount was paid an Enforcement Agent would attend their address with a view to enforcing the writ and further costs would be incurred.
The impact
The defendant paid the full amount by debit card within ten days of the instruction received.
